Prague, 28th October 2020 – On 26th October 2020, the Czech company Primoco UAV SE was certified by the Military Aviation Authority of the Ministry of Defence of the Czech Republic as an approved production and development organization. Both approvals have concluded the first stage of the company’s long-term effort to obtain a military-type certificate for the Primoco UAV One 150M aircraft.
Today, Primoco UAV unmanned aircraft are used in three continents and the company has signed new contracts in the last few months, despite a global pandemic and the introduction of many restrictions. Aviation legislation for unmanned aircraft is developing rapidly, including the expected introduction of new regulations in 2021 and there is an increase in the requirements of operators for the certification of aircraft according to the latest standards. Certification is the only legitimate way for the safe and reliable operation of unmanned aerial vehicles and their full integration into a single aviation environment.
Ladislav Semetkovský, CEO, evaluates the award of both certificates:
“Since the beginning of our work on the One 150 model and the military version One 150M, we have approached its development and construction in the same way as a standard aircraft with strict adherence to applicable aviation regulations. We very much appreciate the issuance of an authorization for our company as a development and production organization by the Department of Military Aviation Supervision of the Ministry of Defence of the Czech Republic, as we are the first company to receive this in the Czech Republic and Central Europe. Worldwide, Primoco UAV SE is one of only five companies recognized as an organization under EMAR military aviation regulations. For our customers, it is an independent confirmation of the high standards of our company, our internal processes and products.”
The received authorizations for the development and production of the company’s military aircraft will enable the full involvement of Primoco One 150M in the fleet of any NATO country, including the Czech Republic, as both authorizations are issued on the basis of uniform EMAR aviation regulations.
The Czech company Primoco UAV develops and produces the One 150 civilian and military unmanned aircraft, capable of flying completely independently according to programmed flight plans. The key features of the aircraft are its size, maximum take-off weight 150 kg, 15 hours endurance, 2 000 km range, cruising speed 100-150 km/h, payload 30 kg and fully automatic take-off and landing. The company focuses on civilian & military applications for the aircraft especially in energy, border and coastal security, fire monitoring and search and rescue operations. The company’s aircraft are in operation on three continents.
