What is PX Start

Uniqueness

Like a main stock exchange, however the PX Start market is dedicated to small and medium-sized Czech and Slovak companies. We trade daily in a continuous mode.

Investors

Investors can become shareholders of small and medium-sized Czech and Slovak companies and trade their shares on the exchange.

Companies

Companies have an alternative source of capital that is much simpler and cheaper compared to the main stock market.

What makes PX Start special?

PX Start is like a main stock exchange, however it is dedicated to small and medium-sized Czech and Slovak companies. Investors can buy a stake in the participating companies, which, in turn, get capital for their development. Unlike a main stock exchange, trading takes place in auctions, and the minimum size of one trade depends on each issue.
The PX Start market has been operating since 2018, and thanks to it, almost everyone can become a shareholder in a Czech and Slovak company that offers the growth potential.

Thanks to the PX Start market, small and medium-sized Czech companies have the opportunity to use the capital market for their financing. This opens up another opportunity for them to raise funds for their development.

PETR KOBLIC
CEO of the Prague Stock Exchange and President of the European Federation of Stock Exchanges (FESE)

“SMEs are the backbone of any well-functioning economy. They bring innovation and are among the largest employers. For investors, the opportunity to invest funds in innovative, progressive, but also traditional Czech companies is a welcome diversification on the capital market in the Czech Republic,” concludes Petr Koblic.
